Sulakyurt Dam Pond Tour

The character of the Route:

Starting from the northwest of Sulakyurt District, the route travels around the western side of the pond sparkling in the steppe with its calm blue waters. The track ends at Sulakyurt Dam, whose water rises and falls from time to time, and offers pleasant views to hikers.

In Sulakyurt, Evliya Çelebi wrote in his famous travelogue, “His real name is Hamza. The Hamzavi Sect remained with him. You can visit the tomb of Sheikh Shami, who was praised for saying "Many miracles have been seen" and who is said to have brought water from the ground with his staff.

You can taste the famous melon grown in Sulakyurt District and called Sulakyurt Honey.

You should take enough water with you, especially on hot days.
