Ortahisar – Meskendir & Kılıçlar Valley – Göreme
Characteristics of the Route:
Starting in Ortahisar Town, the route leads to Meskendir Valley on the slope of Bozdag, passing by cave warehouses with excellent humidity and temperature to make lemons juicy. It crosses the main street and begins to descend with a unique view of the valley. Narrow paths of the Valley meet with tunnels from time to time and makes the trail an enjoyable track leading to a modest cafe located at the meeting point of many hiking routes in Kiliclar Valley after a short ascent. The last part of the route passes through chimneys eroded by the course of time and carved into rooms, monasteries, and resting places, and ends next to the fairy chimney with broken columns in Goreme.
