Keşlik – Taşkınpaşa
Characteristics of the Route:
The route starts at the Keslik Monastery, which draws attention with its murals that shed light on the mysterious periods of Cappadocia and cave structures that have been a venue for monks, and follows the paths through the countryside unique to the region on the volcanic tuff. The paths adorned with fairy chimneys offer an incredible view together with fields. Smooth paths end at the Taskinpasa Complex, which opens the doors of a different culture to the explorers.

Notes to Travelers:
You can call Cabir Coskuner, the volunteer caretaker of the monastery, to visit the churches in Keslik Monastery Complex.
You can visit Taskinpasa Complex, one of the rare examples of the Seljuk architectural style, built by the Karamanids, free of charge.
Also, you can see Hedysarum cappadocicum (tatlitirfil) frequently at high altitudes and on rocky land, Euphorbia anacampseros subsp.Anacamseros (sutluagu), Lamium orientale (guzelce), Macrotomia densiflora (koca egnik), and Salvia blepharochlaena (hos salba).
If you are hiking in early spring, you can see the blooming Allium Nevsehirense, one of the endemic plants of Cappadocia.
Make sure your water bottle is full and keep a spare bottle ready as you won't find water on the route.
