Characteristics of the Route:

The route starts at the Kavak village school and passes through villages built on the valleys offering an enjoyable hiking experience with different formations and views. The route follows the asphalt road in the village for a short while and enters the dirt road up the ramp towards the orchards of Bahceli. The trees colourfully bloom in spring and offer delicious fruits in autumn. The flat dirt road goes around the cultivated land and enters the fields in the valley with a slight descent accompanied by clusters of red cranberries. The route goes down to Bahceli, passing by cave warehouses built for the lemons of the Mediterranean, to the coffee house of the village, the Seljuk mosque, and heads towards the valley that awaits you with ups and downs. The last part of the route requires some effort in nature and reaches Ayvali village square.

Notes to Travelers:

You can try the restaurant serving local dishes cooked in a tandoor in Ayvali.

If you are hiking in early spring, you can see the fruits of Allium nevsehirense (Nevsehir yabani sarimsagi), one of the endemic plants of Cappadocia, and Rhamnus catharticus (cehri) with yellow, orange, and green colors.

Since the coffee house in Bahceli village square is accustomed to serving travellers, you can sit in the cafe and order a drink that suits your taste such as tea, coffee, fruit juice.

Even though you can find water on the route, keep your water bottle full.
