Ihlara Village – Belisırma – Selime Monastery
The Character of the Route:
This route, which explores the Ihlara Valley, one of Cappadocia's most popular visiting points, contains thousand-year-old churches and a place of worship carved into the rock as a mosque. The paths along the valley shaped by the Melendiz River lead towards the unknown of this hidden beauty. The tracks between Agacaltı and Belisırma Village are the most visited by tourist groups (3 km). After Belisırma village, the sounds of nature accompany you. The route proceeds in the mysterious atmosphere created by the vegetation unique to the valley and ends in the caves that hide the Selime Monastery.
