Hasan Mountain Summit – Keçikalesi Village
The Character of the Route:
The view of the summit, which is mind-blowing with Ekecik Mountain, Salt Lake, and Erciyes Volcano, is the route's starting point. The route, which looks at the ruins on the crater and enters the path extending in the southwest direction, follows a gentle slope and descends to the village of Keçikalesi, located on the floor of the Keçikalesi caldera*. The route, which leads to the eastern slope of the caldera, which is also said to have gas outlets in places, ends in the ruins of Keçikale (Konyalı, 1974: 1059), which was built during the Roman Period and was destroyed and rebuilt several times during the subsequent settlements.
*The caldera is a volcanic landform formed by the collapse of the soil due to a volcanic eruption.
