Tyana - Bor - Niğde
The character of the route:
The route, which starts from Tyana, the capital of the Southern Cappadocia Kingdom, proceeds on a comfortable road following the aqueducts from the Roman Period. Following the visual feast presented by the history engraved in the surreal geography, the track begins to climb, passing through the Bor District, which bears the traces of the old Turkish principalities. The route, which rises to 7 km, ends in the fairy-tale city of Niğde.
Notes to Travelers:
• If you are interested in history, visit the ancient city of Tyana. You can see Köşkhöyük, which dates back to 6000 BC, and photograph the original origin of some of the Neolithic ceramics in the Niğde Museum.
• After visiting the Roman Bath in Kemerhisar, you can try restaurants that serve delicious meals.
• In Bor, you can taste the famous Bor söğürme made from lamb.
• If you want to examine the Anatolian culture briefly, you can have a pleasant time at the Archeology Museum of Niğde.
• You can take impressive photos at the famous Cullaz Street of Niğde and the Seljuk heritage Alaaddin Mosque (active since 1223 AD) and visit the Niğde Castle in the heart of the city.
• You can photograph the Gündoğdu Tomb and the original architectural tomb that Hüdavend Hatun had built for her in Niğde in 1312.
