Sulakyurt - Ağaylı - Koçubaba - Büyükafşar
The character of the Route:
This mystical route, which visited the saints who came to Anatolia in the 13th century, visits villages adorned with legends. The route, which starts from Sulakyurt Village, where the tomb of Sheikh Sami, who is believed to have produced water with his staff, is located, reaches a comfortable ride after climbing 23km. The track visits the Tomb of Seyit Hasan Gazi, known as Koçu Baba, at km 29.2 and starts to descend at km 30. The route, which passes Dağobası Village and heads towards Büyükavşar Village, ends in the mystical environment of this geography where the beliefs and mysticism brought from Khorasan are experienced.
Notes to Travelers:
• In Sulakyurt, in Evliya Çelebi's famous travelogue, "His real name is Hamza. The Hamzavi Sect remained with him. You can visit the tomb of Sheikh Shami, who was praised for saying "Many miracles have been seen" and who is said to have brought water from the ground with his staff.
• You can taste the famous melon grown in Sulakyurt District and called "Sulakyurt Honey".
• You can visit the tomb of Koçu Baba, the son of Seyit Haydar Gazi, who was also the uncle of Hacı Bektaş Veli.
• Do not set out without taking enough water and snacks with you.
