Özkonak - Kozaklı

Characteristics of the Route:

There is an enjoyable ascend in the first quarter of the route, which starts in front of Ozkonak Underground City built on the northern slope of Idis Mountain, where the tuff layer is most intense, and open to visitors since 1972. The rest of the route goes through fields. Toprakli, the only village you will pass through along the way, is located in the middle of the route. After visiting the village, you will descend through a smooth slope and reach Kozakli, the spa center.

Notes to Travelers:

There is an entry fee to Ozkonak Underground City and the museum card is not valid.

Restaurants in Ozkonak are ideal for lunch.

You can choose one of the overnight stays of different standards in Kozakli, which is famous for its thermal hotels and spas.

Keep your bicycle bottle and a spare water bottle full as there is no opportunity to find water on the route.

You can visit Haci Bektas Veli Tomb and Haci Bektas Veli Museum, Cilehane and Kadincik Ana Tomb free of charge.

You can try delicious home-cooked meals at Kadincik Ana Women's Cooperative in Hacibektas.

You may need a bicycle lock while visiting the archeological sites.
