Ortahisar - Meskendir - Göreme

Notes to Travelers:

You can taste local dishes in Goreme and Ortahisar, which offer different options.

There is an entry fee to Ortahisar Castle, the museum card is not valid.

Make sure your bicycle bottle is full as you will have limited opportunities to find water on the route.

Characteristics of the Route:

All cyclists can enjoy this unique route starting in the fairy-tale village of Ibrahimpasa where time is frozen. The route enters the valley by following the village streets and descends to Balkan Creek. The path turns into a wide and shaded dirt road and continues by descending on a slight slope. Old houses and caves carved into the valley walls invite you to explore. The route enters Ortahisar Town through a very short ramp and ends in front of Ortahisar Castle.
