Niğde - Gümüşler - Yeşilova - Dikilitaş -Demirkazık
The character of the Route:
This route, which requires good conditioning, starts the climb from the center of Niğde. Right after the exit, visits the Gümüşler Monastery, a famous visitor center, and set out for the Aladağlar National Park. Accompanied by the fresh mountain air, the route passes through mountain villages one by one and ends in Demirkazık village.
Notes to Travelers:
• You can have a pleasant time at the Archeology Museum of Niğde, once the capital of the Kingdom of Cappadocia.
• You can take impressive photos at the famous Cullaz Street of Niğde and the Seljuk heritage Alaaddin Mosque (active since 1223 AD) and visit the Niğde Castle in the heart of the city.
• You can photograph the Gündoğdu Tomb and the original architectural tomb that Hüdavend Hatun had built for her in Niğde in 1312.
• You can visit the "Gümüsler Monastery and Underground City," one of Cappadocia's important visiting points. You must buy a ticket to enter.
• You can visit the Roman Column, which gave its name to the Dikilitaş village, where a hermit lived years ago, and the Obelisk Church, currently used as a carpet-making workshop.
• You can stay in Demirkazık village and walk in Aladağlar.
