Kızılçukur Valley – Çavuşin
Notes to Travelers:
There is no public transport you can use to go to the beginning of the route. You can arrange a transfer company or use a taxi.
If you start cycling at sunrise, you can ride with hot air balloons above you.
You can visit the Seljuk Mosque in Cavusin Town, the charming "historical house" on the cobblestone road that goes up by the mosque, and St. John the Baptist Chapel (Aziz Yahya Kilisesi), which you will reach after a few minutes' walk at the end of the road. You can have pleasant moments on the plateau above St. John the Baptist Chapel, which offers wonderful photos with its impressive view.
There is no entry fee to the churches on the route.
You can find beverages suitable to your taste such as tea, coffee, and fruit juice in the cafe near the Crusader Church.
You can try one of the restaurants with different styles in Cavusin.
You can use the water, toilet and shower facilities of the hotel with a campsite. If you have the opportunity and time, you can leave your belongings at the hotel before you leave.
Characteristics of the Route:
The route starts at the entrance of Kizilcukur, one of Nevsehir's most striking valleys, and reaches the modest cafe next to the Crusader Church with an exciting descent. After enjoying the view and immersing yourself in the stories of the church, the route proceeds on wavy trails and descends to Cavusin, an old settlement, with a magnificent view.
