Kırşehir - Kesikköprü - Cacabey Caravanserai - Yunus Emre Tomb

The character of the Route:

The pedaling route in the geography where Anatolian saints lived, leaves behind the delicious smells of food spread on the streets smelling of history and floating calmly in the peace of nature. The route, which crosses the Kızılırmak River at the 22nd km, reaches Ulupınar Village after a quiet drive. The route, which climbs after 37.5 km, ends at the Tomb of Yunus Emre, the famous folk poet and saint, who together with Taptuk Emre Tomb and Hacı Bektaş-i Veli Tomb constitute the 3 major centers of Bektashism.

Notes to Travelers:

• You can visit Ahi Evran Mosque and Tomb, Imaret Mosque-Sheikh Suleiman's Tomb, Melikgazi Tomb, Cacabey Tomb, Muhterem Hatun Tomb, Aşık Pasha Tomb and Fatma Hatun Tomb. Female visitors must carry a scarf with them to use when visiting the tomb.
• In the place opened with the renovation of the Old Governor's Mansion, you can visit sections from the lives and works of masters of words from Dede Korkut to Pir Sultan Abdal, from Karacaoğlan to Neşet Ertaş, as well as musical instruments used from past to present.
• You can visit the museum of the world-famous musician, Neşet Ertaş, in Kırşehir, Turkey's first and only UNESCO-registered music city. You can take pleasant photographs at the Cacabey Caravanserai, which was built by Nurettin Caca, Emir of Kırşehir, during the reign of Sultan Gıyasettin Keyhüsrev II in 1251.
• You can visit the museum built for the world-famous musician, Neşet Ertaş.
• You can taste delicious Kırşehir dishes such as beetroot whipped cream, lepe, borani, Çirleme and Çir dessert.
• You can benefit from the healing waters of the thermal springs located in Kırşehir city center.
• Anatolian Seljuk sultan II. You can take impressive photographs of the caravanserai and bridge built by Kırşehir Emir Nurettin Caca during the reign of Gıyasettin Keyhüsrev.
• Make sure you take enough water with you, as you cannot replenish water on the road.
• You can visit the Tomb of the famous saint Yunus Emre in Ulupınar Village.
