Kaman - Yelek - Savcılı Beach
The character of the Route:
The route, which starts from Kaman, is full of surprises, visiting steppe villages accompanied by epic views. After climbing a gently rising slope for 6 km, it begins to descend towards the unique blue sky caused by the Hirfanlı Dam. After passing Yelek Village at 12km, the route continues its descent in a calm manner and ends on the shore of the huge pond that collects the waters of Kızılırmak.
Notes to Travelers:
• At the end of the ride, you can swim in the pond of Hirfanlı Dam, which resembles a huge lake.
• In Kaman, you can visit the Kaman Kalehöyük Archeology Museum, which was built with the cooperation of the Japanese and Turkish governments and where the 5 thousand years of history of the city is exhibited. There is an entrance fee.
• You can visit the Japanese Garden in Kaman, inspired by a geographical region in China and tended by the Japanese.
• You can taste Kaman's famous walnuts and try Kaman's butter bun, which is available in abundance on special occasions.
• You can buy instruments made in the order of Neşat Ertaş, the famous poet of Anatolia, in this region.
• You can taste Kaman's local dish, besmechi (meatballs with bulgur cooked on the stove).
• If you are interested in folk heroes, you can visit the grave of Dadaloğlu, a folk poet who opposed the Ottoman Empire's policy of settling Anatolian Turkmens, in Kaman.
• Make sure you have enough water as you cannot replenish water while driving.
