Characteristics of the Route:

The route starts at the Tomb of the famous mystic, sayyid, poet, and philosopher Haci Bektas Veli, who said: "the greatest book to read is the human", and passes through the streets full of legends, then goes towards the countryside.After the breeze of Hirka Mountain, Haci Bektas Veli's retreat place, the route becomes smooth with Kizilrmak, follows the river, passes through the streets where clay turns into art and craft, and reaches Avanos district square.

You can visit Haci Bektas Veli Tomb and Haci Bektas Veli Museum, Cilehane and Kadincik Ana Tomb free of charge.

Keep your bicycle bottle and a spare water bottle full as there is no opportunity to find water on the route.

You can try delicious home-cooked meals at Kadincik Ana Women's Cooperative in Hacibektas.

You can try making ceramic in the workshops in Avanos.

You may need a bicycle lock while visiting the archeological sites.
