Derinkuyu - Yazıhuyuk - Gaziemir
Characteristics of the Route:
The route starts in one of the most popular underground cities of Nevsehir, continues on clean asphalt roads, and ends in Gaziemir Underground City, which has not gained popularity yet and attracts attention with its different structures. Passing by Yazihuyuk, which consists of two terraces where pottery pieces from the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods were found, the route follows the lava bed called Kayirli Corridor with the view of the maar (water-filled crater) called Nar Lake and ends in front of Gaziemir Underground City, which was re-designed as a caravanserai.
Notes to Travelers:
There is an entry fee to Derinkuyu and Gaziemir Underground Cities and the museum card is valid.
Keep your bicycle bottle and a spare water bottle full as you won't find water frequently on the route.
Nar Lake is popular among photographers and has a great sunset view.
