Cappadocia Gran Fondo Short Track

Characteristics of the Route:

The cycling event called "Gran Fondo" in Italian is a general name given to long-distance races open to professional or amateur cyclists. If you want to test yourself, you can take the route that starts in Uchisar, Nevsehir's biggest fairy chimney. The route passes by the iconic fairy chimneys, descends to Urgup, which was called Prokopi by the Byzantines, Bashisar by the Seljuks, Burgut Castle by the Ottomans, combining the new with the old. The route ascends towards Mustafapasa and passes by the town following a slight slope, and heads towards Ayvali. It passes Ayvali and Bahceli and ends at the point where it started in front of Uchisar Castle, which stands out from afar with its majestic structure.

Since you will be on a route for sports purposes, the day will be focused on riding.

You can find water in gas stations and grocery stores in towns/villages on the route.

Having some snacks always helps to regain energy. It is recommended to consider the loss of salt when choosing snacks.
