The character of the Route:
The route, decorated with mystical motifs, starts from the Bor district center, famous for its delicious curd. The trail, which starts to climb to the north on clear paths immediately after starting the road, turns west by facing Hasan Mountain at 21 km. After this point, the route, which descends on playful tracks, ends in Altunhisar, the green town famous for its “Yakacık watermelon,” which has a different aroma and taste.
Notes to Travelers:
• You can visit the tombs of Ahmet Kuddusi, an important divan poet and sage, and his father, Hacı Seyyid İbrahim Efendi, raised in Niğde in the Bor district center.
• While the Kale Mosque (Sheikh İlyas Mosque) was being built in Bor (1543), you can visit the saint Sarıkız, who lived in the cave near the mosque, in the cave (today it is a tomb) where she shut herself up and lost her life.
• You can taste Bor söğür, which is registered and geographically indicated at the restaurants in Bor.
• If you are interested in history and mystery, explore the Sheikh Guzel Tomb, dated 1548, located east of Altunhisar, and the black inscribed stones on the mill roads.
• Do not forget to take enough water and light food to give energy.
