Avanos - Bayramhacılı

Characteristics of the Route:

If you do not have a road bike and could not rent it, it is a medium difficulty route that you can finish with a mountain bike. However, you should take into account that riding a mountain bike requires more effort than riding a road bike. The route starts from the streets of Avanos, where clay is transformed into crafts and art, passes through fields with fresh air, and goes up Deve Bagirtan Hill with a slope of 10-12%. This ramp is the only challenging point on the route. After passing this difficult short part, the descent makes you feel what "riding with your own wind” means. This enjoyable descent is followed by the calmness of the route near the water.

You can dine with fresh breezes in a small country restaurant next to Bayramhacili Dam.

You can try one of the restaurants with different styles in Avanos.  You can test yourself in the ceramic workshops in Avanos.

Make sure your bicycle bottle is full as you will have limited opportunities to find water on the route.

You can use the water, toilet, shower, and facilities in campsites, which also have a modest swimming pool. If you have the opportunity and time, you can leave your belongings at the campsite before you leave.
