Altunhisar - Çiftlik - Güzelyurt

The character of the route:

The route, which starts from a charming town built on the slope of the Melendiz Volcano, climbs the hill from the east side of the volcano to the north with pleasure. The route, which reaches an altitude of 2000 meters at the 17th km, descends towards the lands where ancient civilizations lived and go Çiftlik. After visiting the village (Tepecik-Çiftlik Tumulus), founded by the neolithic community living at the foot of this ancient volcano 9500 years ago, visits modern villages that smell of history. The route, which proceeds by following the gently rising ramp, ends in Güzelyurt, one of the important religious centers of Eastern Rome.

• You can enjoy the scenery in the Zindan Mansion, surrounded by small ponds in Altunhisar Zindan Valley, and visit the historical mosque named after Karamanoğlu Yakup Bey, one of the former Turkish Gentlemen.

• If you are curious, visit the Tepecik- Çiftlik Mound in Çiftlik village 
• If you want to take a pleasant walk, you can visit Manastır Valley in Güzelyurt.
• You need to buy a ticket to visit the High Church at the entrance of Güzelyurt.
